고용노동부(장관 김영주)는 8.27(월) 올해 상반기에 제조·수입된 신규화학물질의 명칭, 유해성.위험성 및 노동자 건강장해 예방 조치사항 등을 공표하였다.
이번에 공표한 신규화학물질은 총 200종이며, 이 가운데 1-부틸- 2-프롤리디논, 2-브로모아닐린 등 62종에서 급성독성, 생식독성 등의 유해성.위험성이 확인되었다.
고용노동부는 해당 신규화학물질을 제조.취급하는 사업주가 적절한 환기시설을 설치하고 노동자에게 보호구를 착용하도록 하는 등 건강장해 예방조치를 취하도록 하였으며, 노동자가 이를 알 수 있도록 물질안전보건자료(MSDS)에 반영하여 사업장에 게시.비치하도록 하였다.
박영만 산재예방보상정책국장은 “이번 공표는 노동자와 일반 국민 모두에게 신규화학물질의 유해성과 위험성을 알리는 의미가 있다”면서 “사업주는 노동자들이 안전한 작업환경에서 신규화학물질을 취급할 수 있도록 건강장해 예방 조치를 이행하기 바란다.”고 밝혔다.
